Welcome!

Dear Jack and Jill Family,

I am honored to serve as your chapter president for the 2010-2012 program years. My focus during this period will be to enhance the chapter's focus on community service involving disadvantaged members of our community. I hope we can provide our children and others with a better quality of life and leave them with the inspiration to set their aims high and realize their full potential. In doing so, I want mothers to use their talents to be creative and plan fun and meaningful activities that will help our children become great stewards of their advantages. This can be achieved by having the children actively engaged and fully participating in community service events. In addition to our community service goals, I also expect to infuse this year with lost of fun and encourage more networking around social and professional activities, swapping information about resources such as the "MOMS LIST", and improving the effectiveness and administration of the chapter. I was happy to see that the mothers who attended the Mother's Planning Meeting in June 2010 agreed that these goals were also important to them as well. Together with the help of all of you, the committees and the executive team we will move this agenda forward and leave the DC Chapter of Jack and Jill in a good place for years to come. Thanks to all of you who have pitched in or provided support to make this a spectacular program year.
